KaBOOM! Appoints James Siegal as CEO
KaBOOM!, Inc. – the national non-profit dedicated to giving all kids the childhood they deserve filled with balanced and active play – announced the appointment of KaBOOM! President James Siegal as Chief Executive Officer, effective February 1, 2016. Siegal succeeds Founder Darell Hammond, who announced in November that he would be stepping down as CEO after leading the organization for 20 years. Read more here.

Interstate Moving Wins Award from American Moving and Storage Association
Interstate Moving | Relocation | Logistics announced that it was named the American Moving & Storage Association’s (AMSA) Independent Mover of the Year. Interstate is the only moving company to win this prestigious award twice. The company was also awarded AMSA’s Fleet Safety Award for the seventh consecutive time. In 2015, Interstate handled more than 13,000 moves, which resulted in a 17% revenue increase over 2014. Click here to read the full press release.

The deadline to register for the Canadian Trade Mission is March 11, 2016 and the Mexican Trade Mission isMarch 18, 2016. Chamber members save 50% and pay only $1750 for meetings with targeted clients, partners and/or industry experts. Sky Data Vault Announces Dramatic Year-Over-Year Growth
2015 was a big year for Sky Data Vault (SDV) with the launch of a comprehensive and fully managed Disaster Recovery as a Service portfolio for the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) and non-profit markets. SDV enjoyed tremendous market response and recently announced that it achieved a 143% revenue increase over FY 2014. Strong 2015 growth and revenue velocity heading into 2016 has prompted SDV to launch expansion efforts throughout the US. The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia Releases Annual Report—“A Year of Partnering for Greater Impact”
Northern Virginia Chamber member, Community Foundation for Northern Virginia, released their 2014-2015 Annual Report, “A Year of Partnering for Greater Impact,” highlighting the impact they have had on the community, including $4 million in total grants, over $590,000 through discretionary funds to local programs, $215,000 in scholarships, and $36.7 million in managed assets.
